The European Association for the Study of Obesity (EASO) and the Turkish Association for the Study of Obesity (TASO) are pleased to welcome you to the 18th European Congress on Obesity (ECO) in Istanbul, Turkey, from May 25th until May 28th 2011.

Istanbul is an enchanting city where continents have always met with joy and pride. The fusion of the Byzantine era, Ottoman times and modern Turkey has created a magnificent flavour here that you all must come and taste.

We believe that we have laid the foundations to quench your scientific thirst and to help you to socialize a bit. The Congress venue “Lütfi Kırdar Convention & Exhibition Center”, which is right in the center of the city, is also close to many attractions and historical sites. Istanbul is looking forward to seeing you all in 2011 to “make the continents meet”.
